Here we go...

Just below the words you are reading now are more words. Words that are pretty much the first chunk of our (as in me, devin, bryan, and whoever else we collect along the way) little movie we're making. I hope you enjoy it.

Super Mario Bros: Endgame
(working title)

Part 1
After years of battling the evil forces of King Bowser Koopa in the mushroom kingdom, the two plumbers known as the Super Mario Brothers have returned to their home in Brooklyn New York. They are done fighting and the Mushroom Kingdom is at peace and has been for some time. It’s good to be home.
Meanwhile, back in the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser has sent royal assassins to Brooklyn so that he may finally get rid of the Mario Brothers. However, years from now in a future filled with chaos and death, royal advisor Toadsworth is one of the few survivors of King Bowser’s wrath. He comes from a future where Bowser’s royal assassins succeed in murdering the Mario Brothers. It is a most likely future given the fact that in essence, the two plumbers are retired. He must warn them of the imminent danger.
Toad travels through endless pipes back through time and eventually ends up in present day Brooklyn. He quickly locates the Mario brothers and warns them that that very night, Bowser’s assassins will arrive and murder them in their sleep. Perhaps more important than the fact that they are scheduled to be killed, is who is, or rather, HAS been behind the evilness that is Bowser from the very beginning.
The brothers are distraught! But why? Why would they do this?! Toad then warns them that along with his assassins, Bowser himself is on his way to Brooklyn at this very moment...just in case they fail. Afraid that what Toad has told them might be true, the Mario’s decide that they must flee at once. But Toad eventually convinces them that Bowser must be defeated once and for all, tonight. It is the only way to understand the truth and get to the bottom of all of this. Before anything else can be said about the matter, the three men hear strange voices outside. “Shit! They’re here!” exclaims Toad. The Marios stand listening intently. They are reluctant but prepared. A few seconds later, there is a loud pounding at the door...

So yeah, this is the beginning part of the movie that we're obviously making about the Mario Brothers. The rest of the story is done, but I'm not one to give stuff away. You'll just have to wait for the finished product.

Aaaah shit! It's been too long. A bunch of stuff happened but I don't remember. I got that Playboy for my birthday and it was coo'. Then, my dad came home from Holland a couple days later and gave me the dutch issue. And that one is even better. Anyways, We (as in devin, bryan, and I) are making another movie starting in the next couple weeks. And this one is gonna rock harder than all of them. It involves a certain pop culture icon who is nothing more than a plumber (or carpenter in his younger years) from Brooklyn. This will be the final chapeter of his story and will be the climax and downfall of his adventures. I don't want to give too much away because quite frankly, we havn't finished working the story out completely. I'll keep y'all up to date tho.

Salem Film Fucktival (We looove documentaries!(especially boring ones))

Well the film festival was mildly cool. It kind of sucked though cuz they only showed 4-5 minute clips of all the cool movies and 34543 minutes of the most boring documentaries that human beings have the ability to produce. It would have been better had us creators of narratives not been robbed of our stories. None of them made sense cuz they only showed chunks. oh well.
My 18th birfday is on thursday. I don't know what I'm gonna do yet. I'll probably buy a Playboy or go to a rated R (gasp!) movie or something, but I'm not expecting it to be very exciting.

Fragment of a Dream (Fuck MY goat's ass!)

mood: theoretical theoretical
music: Jimmy Chamberlin Complex - Loki Cat

It's awesome how many people actually remember (and still like) that little movie I made with the guys (and girl) last year. I totally expected everyone to either forget about it or not really care anymore. But today, I've heard (seen actually) it mentioned twice by both Bryan and Jackie (who has it listed as one of her favorite movies (if only because she's in it)). And this week, a guy from school (who entered a music video and is really into stuff like this) made a little flyer (to make known the film festival) that has my movie advertised on it. I can't wait till this saturday (the film festival). I'm not expecting it to win at all cuz I'm assuming that other people have made much better movies. However, I can't help but get excited by the slight possibility that it could potentially, hypothetically, theoretically win (In its category). Saturday also marks the first saturday since I started working that I will have had off. Crazy. I've gotten so used to not having weekends that I'm beginning to not take a (complete) day off for granted. All the possibilities of one day...

Today, I finished reading "The Da Vinci Code". If you want to read a freakin awesome book, read that. What an ending. I didn't really think about it until I was done, but the author seriously has to be a genius to come up with all the encoded messages and symbols in the book. Either that or spend like 10 years researching (I think it's a little of both). I can't wait until the movie comes out. It's gonna rock...

oh man, nintendo DS's are freakin cool. I have nothing else to say. oh yeah, the salem film festival is on the 19th at 7 at the elsinore so if you're like me (and i know i am) you'll go. hell, i even entered a movie. this is only the second year of it's existence so it's not very big. so don't expect to see any "real" movies there. although, there is a professional level, but i don't know how many "professionals" will enter a crappy little salem film fest. anyways, go cuz i told you to and cuz it'll be fun.

Ike in a Box?

Feb. 1st, 2005 | 09:52 pm
mood: cheerful cheerful
music: Stina Nordenstam - Murder in Mairyland Park

Me and Bryan went the the new/remodeled teen center on friday night (now known as the Ike Box) to check out the remodeled goodness that was once a very unflattering place. It's much better. The bands that played there were questionable...well ok they sucked, we only stayed for 2 and one was a crappy nu-metal band and the other was a yellowcard rip off which is a double dose of suck. However, the bands can easily be changed to good ones(the porcupines played the next night)but the layout and feel was the coolest part. The stage, which is raised up, and the sound quality are now much better than anywhere I've been in Salem and they sell icees and stuff which is cool. Also, there were a lot of people I knew there who I'd never expect to be there. Man, I can't wait to get practicing with...Mohdae (soon to be changing our name).

Oh SNAP!

mood: relieved relieved
music: The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)

Today, with absolutely no preparation, no previous experience, and no idea what to expect, I took the SATs. It was easier than I'd expected and the most exciting part was seeing people from a certain school that i used to go to who I hadn't seen for a long time.

Amazingly, after weeks of it, I don't feel like a failure anymore.

Beautiful Ground

mood: restless restless
music: Grandaddy - Jed the Humanoid // Jed's Other Poem

Gah, I have SATs on saturday. I know nothing about them really so I don't really know what to expect, but oh well. I've felt really wierd lately. Like I constantly need to do something quickly, but I have no idea what it is I need to do. So I've been really anxious but I really don't know how to fix it. Maybe I'm pregnant.
